Sometimes I think there's more than they're putting in the books. I read recently about this saint and her infant son who were tortured and killed because they were Christians...but does't that seem excessive. Like, people are inherently lazy. She must have provoked them in some way. That's my 20 cents. I'm not sayin' she was asking for it, but that seems awful odd.
I think excessive and insane are making a comeback in terms of religion. I'm sticking with fallen-away Unitarian.
