Don't be embarrassed to check them out. Google them. Talk to people who know them. Are they a psycho? Avoid them.
Of course, be discreet because checking somone out may make yourself look like a psycho. That's all you need is psycho-looking person looking at other psycho-looking person, and then the two avoiding each other when in reality the two are the perfect match.
