This spot for Uno cosmetics didn’t run during any Super Bowl, yet it’s far more memorable than half of those which did. Nice, simple spin on the overhead people gag. I know it’s early, and I’ve said it before, but for next year, brands need to seriously think about taking the fucking handcuffs off their agencies and let them make their products look cool. Veer the hell away from the American Revolution that is John Mellencamp. Are white noise consumer ‘touch points’ all that matter anymore? Because that’s what we flooded the market with. Want a piece of that valuable consumer mindshare? MAKE COOL FUCKING ADS THEN. Consumers will remember those a lot longer than another slo-mo truck part reverse-implosion scene.

That's what I'm trying to tell everyone here. Make cool ads and people will remember your brand. The consumer is NOT an idiot. And yet all I get is lame ass bad conducted focus groups that kill remarkable ideas. Try to explain to them that in a focus group environment people will not act natural - they'll just show you weak-ass reports from "research agencies" and woosh down the toilet with a great idea, make room for mediocre work...
