Um, isn’t it obvious? The imagery is addressed to potential awards show judges. No doubt the hacks responsible view this shit as their ticket to creative fame.
This work is sad on so many levels. First, the law firm is female-owned. Yet the ad demeans women. The firm allegedly specializes in divorce. But anyone who knows anything about anything realizes divorce is not exactly a humorous subject. There’s a list of life events that evoke tremendous frustration/anxiety/sadness (e.g., death in family, loss of job, serious medical illness, etc.), and divorce is definitely among the top ten. Prospective clients will probably think twice about hiring a lawyer with such a flippant, irreverent attitude.
This piece confirms all the negative stereotypes about lawyers and adpeople.

It could be hysterical... but the imagery and the context makes me feel kinda icky.
But divorce is icky, so there you go.
I would have gone with "Life is short." vs. "Life's short." Not sure to whom the imagery is addressed though...
