Come on. I love the tone of ads from the 40s and 50s. So full of wonder at the marvels available in the 20th century. So much in the salesman's smooth voice. In a lot of ways, they're more pleasing to read than the rat-a-tat-tat sentence fragments that pass for body copy today.
True, they were smooth, but wow, did Big T know how to sell you their bullshit. Smoke this brand, my doctor's favorite lol. Actually, 50's advertising is fascinating because it was so screwed up.
