The internet shifts–we’re all Edtv now.

The watcher becomes the watched. After checking out Blogtv.com, is there anyone not living the Edtv life now? (Blogtv is another live video blogging site for users to share their living room life with, um, other users sitting in their living rooms. There has to be an Escher picture for this.) We used something similar on tour called Ustream.tv which was ok, except when you’re inside a car on the freeway doing 75. The sound and camera steadiness needless to say left a little to be desired.

Still, after watching a few bloggers on those sites respond to worse IM shorthand than an AT&T commercial, I was struck–yes struck, I get struck–by how much the online dynamic has shifted. Everything in the early days was far more anonymous in nature: you surfed sites and that was it. Except for your ISP, nobody knew who you were. Now with sites like this and YouTube, seems like a lot of people have no problem being watched as they share their lives.

Yeah, that’s obvious and deep, but that’s just the service I provide on weekends.

Awesome anon. Thanks. I can’t get to it right now, but here's what I'm going to do: a special post on kona in the next day. Stick around for it.
