Bristol bunch boycotts blasphemy.

All rise, the court of public opinion is now in session. Allegedly, a group in Bristol who didn’t see the actual roast for ESPN radio hosts Mike & Mike is protesting what someone else claims they heard ESPN anchor Dana Jacobson say that night, and now wants her fired. ESPN is not releasing the tape either so all there is to go by is they said/she said.

From what I can tell, her only crime is telling the truth when she supposedly yelled “F*** Notre Dame.” Well, I mean after all, they did go 3-9 this year, so she may have a point. Allegedly. I haven’t seen it so I won’t comment on her remarks except to say:

1) This wasn’t a televised event where she simply lost it.
2) This was a private roast, not choir practice. Roasts do tend to get a little NC-17. Watch one on Comedy Central some time.
3) Because it’s not open to the general public, isn’t there some expectation of privacy at an event like this?
4) Since roasts are comedic events to begin with, and, Michael Richards’ rant notwithstanding, aren’t most topics acceptable? Is religion now off limits in this country?
