Put aside whether you’re into his music or not, it’s nice for a change to see a celebrity, rock star, etc., admit they had too much ahead of time and did something about it–instead of taking out a group of photographers with their car. Slash might not approve, but Mayer has an account of having one too many, then having to call a friend for a ride late at night. As he puts it, he doesn’t care who knows if it helps one person make it home alive. (A freebie for MADD no doubt.) Makes sense. Most people think, “Eh, I can make it–it’s only a couple of blocks and I only had a few.” Maybe, but why chance it.(Image via Michael McDonald on johnmayer.com)
