What some brands miss about YouTube.

An animation by Somegreybloke, one of which is called Gym Membership, has gotten traffic of 600,000+ views in five months, (1.2 million combined for all his clips to date). Dry? Yep. Boring? Depends. When compared to someone being tased, definitely. Certainly it’s not right for all brands, but it has its audience though. It’s just someone letting their mind go, free from brand restraints and logos. You either dig it, or you don’t. And like the Mentos and Diet Coke clip, I’m guessing it woulda been near impossible to sell in ahead of time. All because it falls out of the comfort zone of somebody’s Excel spreadsheet and branding guidelines.
