Blech. Ironically, the ad is still putting the US in the spotlight--saying more about the States than about Mexico and Mexicans--the people the ad's supposed to be speaking to.
I know that it appeals to Mexicans who think that their land was "stolen" but the real perfect world was for those lucky enough to be in American territory after the war.
Unless you're of the sort who likes living with coups and without democracy and at 24% of the standard of living as Americans. Then I guess it all ended up badly.
But what do I know? I'm just a first generation immigrant who grew up in Minnesota.
