Obama’s Harold Ford moment.

And it ain’t even May yet. Yes, any candidate is fair game, in terms of their voting record, their political accomplishments, their stand on the issues, whatever. But when you use veiled language like ‘extreme’ to describe someone in a political ad, well, we’re waaaaaaay past ‘liberal’ now.“What, me? What’d I say. I never said anything about race.” Didn’t have to.

(UPDATE: You yank yours, and I’ll yank mine?)

Yeah, amazing, that a preacher might be angry about hundreds of years of prejudice.

BTW, my wife's Episcopalian church has an altar in the front and I hear that all began with animal sacrifice in the Old Testament, something about Abraham, his firstborn son and a sheep. Guess I'm out of politics, too.

It's good to hear "extreme" in a Presidential race again.
Haven't heard it since Barry Goldwater was charged with it, didn't duck it, and exulted in it:
"Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice; moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue."
Cleared the Cow Palace with that line.

Somehow I don’t think they were talking about the same extreme. I haven’t heard anything extreme from Obama in terms of where he stands on issues. I also didn‘t realize North Carolina is speaking for the rest of the country.
