Consumer generated commentary.
Not exactly the typical director’s commentary you’d find on the DVD’s extras, Matrix Movie Mistakes is one fan’s look at the continuity issues in the film. (Most movies and shows have them but I never caught any of this stuff even after watching it a few times.) Listening to the ‘speech’ reminds me of Mystery Science Theatre and its spontaneous comments. Thinking too of all those paid review clips people do for products they don’t use and I can see a whole bunch of fan commentary films like this emerge. They’d sure be a whole lot more genuine because like Dinero now, paid reviewers phone it in. And check out the end for some of the fastest credits I’ve seen this side of an edited for time rerun on cable.
