Fuel additive or soda.

(Or ‘pop’ for all my Western NY/PA kin.) Just add a can to your tank and you’ll be clean as a whistle. And for copywriters having to to deal with a client or AE asking them to make the copy a little more inviting, or requesting specific wording like “Can you work in ‘fun’ somewhere?”

Try working in ‘citrates’ and ‘free acid’ instead.

Six years ago, they actually did a big study of what "carbonated beverages" are referred to in various parts of the country...

I just call it "mixer" most of the time.

"Slenderizing." There's a word that should come back.

"Our gym features professional slenderizers."

"Sweetie, that dress is sooo slenderizing on you!"

"Dude, you look great! Have you been slenderizing?"

"I will not stand for such slenderizing from my opponent!"

"Mom, ew -- I walked in the bathroom, and Jimmy was slenderizing."

It's soda for them too, they just don't know it.
