Guess Miller will buy those extra :29 seconds next year.



Ad Age has the story of why those Miller 1-second spots never ran. Only thing more powerful than beer distributors? Network affiliates! (Got that shit right.) Apparently NBC put out the word to not broadcast the spots. Wouldn’t want to mock the bigger spender Bud? No official word yet from Miller, but I was however able to track down a response from Wendell above.

The best "one second" of this spot was when the beer man walks away from the camera and says "Getcha some". He was the perfect beer man. Of course, we need a set-up to understand ...so lets give him 2 seconds.
