FDA to 17 brands: Spank you very much.

The Food and Drug Administration just determined that a whole lotta products are in violation of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. In other words... hello misleading label copy. Major brands like Beech-Nut got called out for things like making nutrient claims for children under the age of two—when no guidelines have been determined yet by the government. Oops. Not that any brand on the list was claiming their products could give you the power of flight or anything, but you can sleep at night knowing your tax dollars help pay for someone in Washington to read the small print you might be missing.

On a semi-related note, all future warning letters will have to wait until Monday before going out.
