Samsung issues 3D warning—tries to kill 3D before it begins.

Not really, but announcing a warning on the side effects of 3D on certain people is almost like Philip Morris launching it's first year with Surgeon General warnings. Gamers have dealt with the seizure thing for some time with brands like Sony, but this is pretty risky for Samsung to put it out there like this. Unless their lawyers said it was more risky not to in case they get sued. But it’s not just seizures, it’s other conditions you should avoid:

“We do not recommend watching 3D if you are in bad physical condition, need sleep or have been drinking alcohol.”

That’s half the movie watchers in America, no?

I might be an old man but as you mention I did play Everquest for many years (2002-2006ish) from Sony which is a 3-D MMORPG. And usually while buzzed. And never had an issue. When you log in it always gives an epilepsy warning. But too your point the minute my father saw the 3-D TV warning he freaked.

Anyway who wants to wear silly glasses around at home during reruns of ER? =)
