Etch A Sketch—the acid trip edition.
It’s like I had a Macromedia background design flashback. DeviantART Muro releases your inner vector with a web-based interface that lets you play or, um, make, well, not sure. Bad as opposed to good iStockphoto art? A Lite version of Photoshop? (The free version offers a limited set of tools that lets you export your masterpiece, while the premium one adds more brushes and features for your inner De Kooning.) Whenever I see these kind of online applications though, I wonder about their use and who would have need for it. It’s cool and all, but it seems more like its value lies in it being a proof of concept showing something can be done without asking why it needed to be.
