The new Hyundai Sonata Hybrid—powered by production assistants.

I want to believe this Hyundai ad was made with zero carbon footprint, but I need a list of what was and wasn’t used in it before I check off that box. Factor in all the ways in which a production creates a footprint, from the usual manufactured gear used in a shoot, the crew’s clothing, their food and electricity? I’ll still settle for *mostly* though. Nice thought.

Enjoyed the jerky camera work inside the car. Winced at the cliche woman-sticks-her-hand-out-the-window-and-waves-it-around shot. Forgave all for the truly surprise ending.

Thanks for sharing the first spot from our new LiveSmart campaign. We've recently launched a YouTube channel with behind-the-scenes videos and fact sheets detailing exactly how we were able to film all three spots with no carbon footprint - from garbage reduction to carpooling to banning plastic water bottles.

Thanks Kendra. “Reduced” and “no” aren’t the same though. I’m all for the former. Not sure the latter can be achieved when you factor in every aspect of the process, from creating — to viewing.
