FedEx’s ongoing “We Understand” series never quite sunk in for me, but two of the recent ones do. I like Dick Butkus and all, but previous spots in this series felt too meta at times. The Exchange Student above though nails it on performance alone as the businessman tries to fit in – painfully. The Retirement spot (after the jump), where the boss tries to improve office efficiency by combining tasks with “For He’s A Jolly Good Fellow,” is also painful, but in a different way. When the manager throws in everyone’s worst office nightmare of having their job hunting efforts made public — I identified with that person in a way I hadn’t with the others. For realz, player.
