See? IBM was HAL after all.

Hot monkey love this is some dated stuff from 45 years ago. The message in Man + Computer tries to reassure people that they won’t be replaced by machines because people have judgement – computers do not. Maybe, but hasn’t *replacement* happened in different ways? Like all technology through the years, computers slash robotics replaced the need for people to do many of the repetitive and menial tasks in the manufacturing sector. Until Terminator shows up to wipe us out though, enjoy your happy place believing that the evolution of computers relative to cognitive thought and more intuitive technology has made life easier. I’ll be over here bitching about how it’s also made access to our lives easier for the people behind it all. It’s a small price to pay for Google to be able to finish your sentence, no?
