Then the lorry took out Ringo.

What do you do when an otherwise straightforward record cover becomes memeorabilia that threatens public safety? Move it to Strawberry Fields! (And if you people would just stop that STUPID walking thing, day and night, night and day, maybe we can throw down a fresh coat of paint.)

CD cover art appreciation day.

Not really. Saw these two though and couldn’t leave well enough alone.

Banjos That Destroy The World. Better title than cover art, but still a funky Strangelove-like aesthetic. Bet Roy Clark is wearing Old Spice right now and piloting that thing at Mach II, the speed of destruction, mister. (Found here.)

Then there’s White Zombie’s Super Sexy Sounds. A perfect blend of the Stereophonic-O-Rama ‘risqué’ look of the sixties with the NC-17 content of today, (unlike the almost pulled-it-off pseudo retro look of a Me First and the Gimme Gimmes). From a design point of view, it’s always a delicate balance.
