This reminds me of my favorite Curb Your Enthusiasm episode, when Larry David meets with Jason Alexander to discuss a potential new project. It's immediately obvious that neither man is working or motivated to work, only in appearing to work. And Larry David -- the model for the George character -- at long last realizes that everyone thinks George was an ass.
