The lowly nutrition label.

All pay heed. It definitely doesn’t have the edge of a Crispin VW spot, and it’s usually something you may not even think twice about. And for some of us, it’s even the kind of bread and butter work we might do at some point. Still, countless people have been exposed to these labels and many count on them for important information presented in a clear manner.

Think about it: the only other things with type seen by more people are the Bible and stop signs. The agency that first designed this, Greenfield/Belser, started out with a focus on marketing for lawyers. In addition, they also developed the huge yellow energy ratings stickers you see on all appliances, as well as the labels for prescription medications.
