So much for MP3 sound quality.
The medium controlling the message? Used to be producers listened to the mix through killer speakers. Now it’s just a pair of $12 Radio Shack ear buds. Nice.

Let's hope that's not the mix on the CDs. I mean, it makes sense to mix for the eventual listening medium, which is why so many studios used those yamaha monitors that sounded flat as plywood. But it seems there should be one mix for digital distribution and another grade A, good-as-it-gets mix on the CD or whatever the next generation disc is. Some tunes really do suffer in mp3. It's strange to me that the public clamors for more resolution in video, but doesn't mind less of it in audio.
