DRIVE-UP STRIPPER COFFEESHOP.

Aka, “But how do I get my coffee place to stand out from, you know, all the coffee places out there already?” Okay, they’re not strippers, but would you have still read if I wrote: “Coffee tastefully teased with sensuality by women in barista uniforms as you pull forward?” Actually, you probably would’ve.

So on tour, we met a guy in Las Vegas during one of the local meet-ups at this Panera/Peet’s/Starbucks Lite™ type coffee shop. Then came words we welcome: “You want a really cool place to go for coffee?” Do we! (Why is it you always find out about the cool places after you go to the regular places.)

“It’s a drive-up coffee place where strippers serve coffee,” he said. Now that’s an elevator pitch—sign us up!

Although we never made it there, Java Girls is just the place a Starbucks need fear.
Considering that even McDonald’s and Dunkin’ Donuts have introduced ‘specialty’ coffees, you have to stand out somehow. Who needs muted earth tone color palette with black ceilings, angsternative music played loudly in the morning, and, crushed ice-tea-fruit blends ending in ‘ie’ or ‘ee?’ Not when these are your baristas. Maybe they’re on to something? They are ‘green’ after all according to the company profile. Although probably not something that would catch on in Minneapolis in January, but they’re already in eight states in addition to Toronto, Canada.

I don't go there, really I don't...but the chai is delicious. I swear.

There's a drive-thru coffee shop in Salem, Oregon called "Bikini Coffee."

Yup, the girls are bikini-clad. Year-round.
