Fuggadaboutit. (Update.)

UPDATE: Apparently certain groups agree. According to Ad Age, Miller is reportedly pulling the ads I mentioned previously. According to a MillerCoors spokesman:
“The ads were intended as a lighthearted and humorous satire using pop-culture imagery to highlight the benefits of our new packaging.”

Yeah, and Denis Leary’s MTV voting rant-inspired Hulu schtick was funny—15 year ago. It’s not the stereotypes, although in this case, that was part of it, but rather, the execution. It always is though. Chappelle can do biting commentary on race. Michael Richards? Eh. Why? Because Chappell is funny as hell. Old jokes and cultural references in this thing were as bad as a Verizon ad. Agencies need to go around and collect all DVD copies of Good Fellas and Casino from cubicles or start paying me to write right this shit.
