Holla’

On behalf of unhip old-school white guys everywhere, I apologize now. Jon doesn’t speak for all of us. Next up for Subway: Jared the ‘playa’.

Lovitz, one of the most embarrassing post SNL career dives. (Piscopo wins, hands down.)

654 views, two ratings. It's frightening to me what happens to apparent talent on SNL after it gets to LA. I saw Master of Disguise this weekend. Still recovering.

*SFX* the last gutteral chugging of a toilet flush.

Lovitz was only funny on SNL because we were all seventeen and drunk.

Funny, wasn't thinking of the post-SNL Madden curse as much as the coopt on urban culture. But then I threw together a list of just who made it post-SNL, and I have to give the nod to old-school slightly because they had a bunch come out aorund the same time:

Bill Murray.
Chevy Chase.
John Belushi.
Dan Ackroyd.

then,

Eddie Murphy.

then,

David Spade.
Mike Meyers.
Will Farrell.

The people on for one year or so I can't really factor in, like Martin Short, Christopher Guest, etc. They already seemed to be successful before joining.

Mad TV seems to be doing the shit that SNL did when it was funny. Seems like Lorne's too worried about getting stand-ups who try to live up to the success of past SNLers.

As for post-SNL traumatic disorder? I have to vote for Nora Dunn or Jimmy Fallon.
