As consumers of the hype, are we as fans witnessing the inevitable growing pains a superstar of his caliber experiences? Even with the average talent around him, do we just expect him to save the day regardless?
Hard to tell if the finger is going out to rowdy fans – or the people that expected too much of him in the first place.

Vick had a helluva day. 166 yards by himself, dropped passes by the inept receiver corps, and then to hear some fairweather fan yell something that gave him reason to call Gloria Allred was deserving of a little finger-flipping. I wish he hadn't apologized.
Tell it like it is, Mike. The Atlanta fans suck - and to all your little impressionable fans out there, the message is "Don't let some jackass, fatass season ticket holder EVER get in your face without getting the last word."
Yeah, he can't make the receivers catch it, but to lose it like that. Gotta be better than that.
