It’s official: kids dig yellow and red.

Or something like that. According to a new report, McDonald’s branding is too strong for kids to resist and parents to overcome. Did we really need a report to tell us this? Unless maybe mom starts giving out a small toy with every apple?

Interesting sidenote: a lot of planner types have told me that the study was pretty flawed: they compared items wrapped in McDonald's paper with identical items in plain wrapping (or unwrapped-- I forget).

Anyway, point was, they felt the kids choosing the wrapped items had nothing to do with McDs-- any brightly colored paper would have delivered the same result.
