Creativo Estereotipos

It’s from last year and in Spanish, but the universal advertising stereotypes in this are spot on.

For you none spanish speakers, here's a quick translation. Some parts might not be perfect because the guy's accent is a bit muffled from time to time. hope it helps.

Montezuna

Chiquitita?

Chiquitita tell me why?

Man if they want me to make a commercial with a family eating yogurt happily, I can do that but basically my job as a creative is to avoid the advertising stereotypes.

Advertising stereotypes attack creativity, they go against the search of the new paths.

Awards don’t matter. What matters to me is a message that can see (or sell pronunciation is kinda garbled and both make sense).

This wouldn’t have been possible without the trust of a client who would be willing to take risks. Thanks to Soap Clean for helping me change my life with this gold award.

-Silver, silver-

Oh… umm.. silver.

Yeah well it’s a real team effort. The people who create advertising put their two cents into every project (might be off, his accent gives me a bit of a hard time). It really doesn’t matter what they do in the end because the idea is mine. I appreciate all the people who make advertising and I’d really just rip their heads off. I would umm ahh…..

(music during shoe segment)

The day I wore these shoes I was drawing with Tony Cegata (or Serrata)

Hey superstar.

Hey Raúl.

In the moment when you least expect it you can get a great idea that finishes off stereotypes.

A famous woman who passes away and has a better life by becoming marmalade.

Inspiration can arrive in the weirdest of ways, you know? In the letter of a song or in the pages of a good book by ….

I do this because it’s a way to earn a living because my real passion is to become a writer. I’m in the middle of writing a script. It’s a psychological drama, well there’s this girl and in the end there’s going to be this huge explosion.

This is 1% inspiration and a 99% transpiration…

What I most enjoy about El Sol is that it’s an advertising show that has always awarded for work that pry away from stereotypes.

I’m sorry but I can’t let you in..

Why??

Because you’re ALSO a stereotype.

But I’m a friend of Suazo…

Yo man…. Ummm.. suazi?? Ummm it’s that he doesn’t remember… .
