Florida, we have a problem.

Seems not everyone is enjoying seas of tranquility in Brevard County, Florida. The astronaut as everyday person theme is part of a recent campaign from the Zimmerman Agency to promote Space Coast tourism. Uh. Space + Coast. Space Coast. Don’t know what the problem is. I like it, but then, I’m not a local. Still, one Brevardite seemed to be in favor of it:

“...it’s the spaceman that does it, and beaches. What else do we have that interests visitors? They don’t want to drive down crack alley do they? What about murder lane? Oh yeah, good old boy central (Viera), are they interested in that? They don’t care about malls, they have them at home. ... We need to stick to the beaches and the space center.”

That’s America talking mister.

That is about it for Brevard. Kennedy and the beaches. Although, I'd promote this machine-gun toting security chick I photographed on a visit to KSC.

Can't be worse than Daytona Beach's "Way more than a beach" campaign that should be rolling out soon.
