
“It tastes awful. And it works.” Why mess with that short and sweet USP? That’s always been their mantra but now the message gets a facelift in the form of a
MySpace page which David at
AdPulp also caught. Included are consumer-generated nasty face pic uploads and some funny testimonial videos. For the
uninitiated, Buckley’s was a family-owned brand before Novartis Canada bought it in 2002. Odd that Buckley’s has a
main site for Canada and just a MySpace for the U.S. version. Since I’m never really on MySpace, it’s unlikely I’d have seen it if it weren’t for the TV spots. First brand I can think of that’s done that. Maybe more will follow suit and leave the standard website behind.
