Saw this text ad on a blog. “SharkBuyer™?” Okay, I’ll bite. What is it. Turns out it’s for the growing foreclosure market. Clicking it takes you to their site, complete with tagline goodness. (Who says you can’t write good copy in a down housing sector.) Forget the stigma because foreclosures aren’t just for the poor anymore. Even the middle class are taking part and chumming the waters. And, if you have some extra time between stock picks, learn how to take advantage of the masses and make five figures sitting at your desk.

That's actually a pretty funny ad but you'd think that the company would use a slightly different term than "shark" for its marketing efforts.
What kind of foreclosure investors are interested in using the imagery of a predator for their business? Probably not the most ethical or moral investors, to be sure.
Or maybe it's targeted to the people with grandiose senses of self-esteem sitting behind their computer desks picking stocks and hoping the next federal bailout will catapult them to the heights of economic prosperity. "Sharks are cool."
