So many demos, so little time.
Noticed a few differences between McCain and Obama when it comes to who they reach out to. Not just women either. Check the respective lists to see if your group makes the cut! NASCAR fans? Obama Just Says No! Alternative lifestyles? McCan’t. Credit though to John for reaching out to more specific occupations than Obama, like healthcare professionals and lawyers. But what if other occupations were included? Like...

Luthiers, cobblers and falconers. Pretty elitist! McCain goes for Real Americans like Baristas, carnies and fluffers!
I hope you made those, Bill. Priceless.
Yes, they were made in my workshop by Elves For MTLB.
Fuffers for McCain ... crying!! /// Tribble.. :)
This country was built on the backs of Baristas!
genius.
i must say...mccain would have me if the baristas were his real focus.
in a heart beat.
what is your interpretation of the
competing typefaces
I want a Falconers for Obama button desperately.
YOU COULD PROBABLY GET THEM TO MAKE:
Middle Class Falconers
For Obama
@mdm-I think we may be out after last night’s speech. I’ll have to check with the warehouse.
@tm-I like the subset demo there:
One-armed Falconers...
Deficit-hating Falconers...
As for font wars, I thought both candidates would generally keep within the normal range of past campaigns. Both proved that theory right because neither Hope nor mavericks apparently like to change fonts midstream.
McCain’s choice of font may be as telling as his choice for VP: Optima, from the latin word optimas? Optimist, positive, always looking forward, etc.
But that optimism seems tempered by the use of the very serious ALL CAPS. Women for McCain, yes, but serious women only please.*
Obama however goes for the more arty Zapfino, and uses it in a more feminine way with muted colors. John McCain may say he’s for women, but Obama will never yell at you.
I love the union bug on the Obama buttons. Perfect.
Speaking of union stuff, apparently the DNC could only get either union fanny packs and baseball caps, or organic ones—but not both because nobody makes them.
I kinda want to see the McCain font on the side of an Aircraft Carrier
Union labels used to be very big in local New York City elections. So I respect the Obama campaigns old fashioned regard for union IDs. If you Failed to get a union printer or a union film crew, and you could lose an election or at least have five days worth of outraged attack from your opponent.
But ask the Obama or the McCain camps if they hire union crews for commercials or union actors. Did Fred Thompson get scale for his VO or did he sell out SAG?
Not to mention Gary Sinise in there tonight too. I imagine both did it for scale, party and country.
;-p
