Cigarette break.

What’s with the Post Office censoring images now. Notice anything missing from her hand? (Via Atherton Bartelby.)

Maybe more graphic warnings are your thing, this time from up North. Even though the U.S. is just now putting graphic pics on packs,
Canada’s already been at it. Check out two different approaches to scaring warning smokers. Will it work? Like Denis Leary said, maybe not—you could call them Tumors with a skull & crossbones on the front and smokers would still buy them. (Image via Eva Blue on Twitter.)

Or you might try appealing somewhere lower:

I think it's so silly, and a waste of marketing and advertising money. No one, not even hardcore smokers, deny that smoking is bad for you. But on-the-package fright advertising is not going to keep us from lighting up, much like the same would not hinder a junkie from shooting up.

And as for the U.S. Bette Davis stamp? I just chalk that up to the increasing "Sterilization Of American Culture" trend that has become so increasingly prevalent lately.

Hey! Can you tell I feel strongly about this? Ha ha. :-)

I can tell you with complete confidence that it has NOT worked. People smoke just as much as they always have and the packaging has become a joke.
