Or how I stopped worrying and learned to love video game covers.

These video games done as retro novel covers are pure, awesome graphic design. For a long time, the thing with video game box art was that it always looked better than the actual game itself. Vector was cool, but you always thought why can’t it be more like the airbrushed art on the cover?

Now, it’s the opposite: The boxes can’t compete with what’s on screen. So if you can’t get any more advanced than what’s out now, why not go back in time, past vector’s origins to spy novel cover art for inspiration. This series of covers originally started by Olly Moss does that, taking many familiar titles and redoing them with a Penguin Classics feel.
