I came across this letter in the Rutger Hauer link from last week. It’s a letter written by Philip K. Dick, author of Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep (the inspiration for Blade Runner). After seeing a preview of the film, he wrote the production company. You’d expect some hyperbole from studios regarding their movies, and sometimes, it’s warranted. But I thought it was cool how Dick’s prediction of the film’s impact turned out fairly accurate with regard to the genre of science fiction and popular culture.
