The second article was spot on. The USOC and City really screwed the pooch on this one. Beyond the USOC selection of Chicago--one of the worst choices of the US cities that wanted it, the presentation was dreadful. Having worked on a couple similar bids, I really can't imagine what the hell they were thinking. All the Drudge propaganda and anti-Obama efforts were not needed. Based on presentation and plan alone, Chicago deserved to loose.
