It all comes back to 1984, I suppose.

Easy. I said I wouldn’t promote *new* spots before the game. But, didn’t say I wouldn’t look back. Saw this series of production shots of Apple’s classic 1984 spot and it reminded me of the story behind the spot that almost never ran. Still, count how many times next week that 1984 is referenced in relation to spots that ran. And for as many times as it will be mentioned, it’ll likely also be said in conjunction with the belief that the vibe of the times then would never happen again to produce such a spot. (A lot has to happen.) But isn’t that just the perfect set-up though for someone to come out of nowhere and pull it off?
