Bulldozer? Check. Paint brush? Check.
Dying utopia and a commentary on the effects of urbanization on mankind? Check! What do you do with a condemned building after a real estate bust? Turn it over to artists to have at it. Such is The Market Estate Project. (It’s located near Caledonian Road station in the UK.) While it might seem futile to create art in a location and on a canvas that won’t be around for long at all, it is a cool idea. Basically, 76 artists get to do what they what to various rooms without fear of offending the public (or a client). The whole building will be open to the public for one day, this Saturday, March 6.
