Sure it’s a spot for Dick’s and adidas’ adizero Sonic, and yes I’ve had to work on unbranded stuff to avoid steep licensing fees, but Adidas comes off looking like they don’t *get* the NFL with stuff like this. The two-part shoe then game vibe, the fake Any Given Sunday college XFL reject uniforms, and a Reggie Bush who seems to get lost in the shuffle. I love most everything adidas does, but sometimes a brand’s *partners* can take you down a notch, especially when it has them going away from their real niche, the other futbol.
