A look back at the problem of pirated material in a digital age with the classic “Don’t Copy That Floppy.” (Digitally remastered? Irony ftw.) They couldn’t solve this problem then and they can’t solve it now. Why? Because the law never catches up with technology. Taken to extremes, shouldn’t we have been in trouble every time we lent a book to someone? Copyrighted material, no? Library or Lendle, what‘s the difference? Even if you were to shut off the internet, there would still be DVDs passed around. So good luck stopping the kid watching movies on SideReel that haven’t been releases to Redbox or Netflix yet.
