Chevy’s suicidal robot returns to raise your family.

The little yellow guy is back—with friends. In one way, I like what Campbell Ewald was going for with this new spot called Baby, in that cars are there for the major and minor parts of your life. But the assembly line execution feels too much like an industrial complex of robots are raising my family. (They may very well one day. I’m just not ready for it.) That’s what we have TV and YouTube for anyway, raising our kids.

The other trend of late is to at least get a hip new soundtrack—Her Morning Elegance by Oren Lavie—in all your spots. Focus on the prize. You won’t save GM by boosting iTunes stock. First GM was in the healthcare business, and oh, btw, happen to make cars. And now, well, we may not move cars, but we will increased downloads?

you might have a point with the downloads, but to be honest, sometimes I really enjoy watching a spot because of the music and if it makes it more digestible to someone who hates advertising, then it has to be worth something right?
