I hate mimes. Who doesn’t. But this new Virgin Mobil campaign from Mother NY aims to change that and give them a voice. Wild postings, website the whole nine yards. Even a million mime march and a cool Mimulator. (Other protest photos here.) Hate it, love it, whatever. I’m not hatin’ since I know the CD on it. Actually though, if I thought it sucked, I wouldn’t have even posted it.

million mime march? did you coin that term or is it the actual name of the "event" in the ads? can't imagine farrakhan would appreciate the joke. although lots of folks wish he'd play a mime more often than not.
Nope. That came from the campaign. I wouldn't have gone there, although, blind kid demolition derby cracks are ok. Shows how fucked up my head is. In hindsight, me coming up with million mime march probably would have been preferable.
More offensive to me though is the million moms who used their version of the name after million man march first came out. It's like, damn, that's an important moment for African-American culture, and housewives bitching about not getting paid to do laundry stole the thunder.
But I'm not bitter.
Much.
;-p
