Matt Damon speaks in tongues.
I dig the execution here and the idea behind this One.org spot, but with their spouses currently going at it, having Michelle Obama and Cindy McCain lend their voices undermines the message of solidarity. (The vid was supposed to be released next week to the public, but no suck luck. Generation YouTube already beat them to it.) Pondering further as I do, I wonder about a poverty campaign costing $1.75 million though. I know it’s TV and that kind of media buy is next to nothing for a brand like a P&G. For a non-profit? Major hit. Why not just use them free internetz to help spread the word instead? Maybe pay some bloggers to help out.

You really think so? To me it says "despite the fact that their spouses are currently going at it" and I think that's a powerful statement.
Powerful, sure. Just saying. Seems odd to see friendly in one forum and adversaries in another.
Oh... I don't really follow American politics but are the wives actually goin at it or is it just the candidates/campaigns?
They’re only going at in the context of the campaign, and even then, indirectly when a reporter asks them a question.
