Why recycle, right?
It doesn’t really matter, riiiight? Just throw that shit out kids. Showing yet another end of the product life cycle, I came across these remarkable yet sad series of shots from photographer Chris Jordan. He chronicles the dead albatross chicks found on Midway Atoll. Their parents don’t distinguish between inanimate objects (like floating debris) and insects, etc. So they bring back colorful little goodies like pens, bottle caps, etc., for the youngins to eat. But, they can’t digest plastic, nor does any of it come out either. Eventually, it kills them. What strikes you also is the location: 2,000 miles away from any other land, which gives you a sense of the impact discarded plastics have.
