I knew there was something about that Amway.
I. Just. Knew. It. From the data fabulous site Sociological Images comes an interactive chart I ran across whilst in my recent political zone. It shows the largest contributions made by advertisers to either party from 2004-2008. As expected, some gave heavily to one side or the other, and a few were surprises. (Roll over each logo there for a breakdown of what they donated.) Take the choice of a new generation and colors of Hope Pepsi. America may be about freedom, but it’s also about the free market and business because they donated more to the GOP than to the Dems. Oops. ($776,785 vs. $515,590.) Coke? ($462,820 vs. $387,334.)
